Congratulations to Guy Thomas of Woodside, CA. Guy was named as the Pacifc Coast Horseman’s Association’s 2010 Rider of the Year. Guy’s many accomplishments in 2010 included winning the Northern California Triple Crown of Show Jumping, and competing at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games for New Zealand with his home-bred stallion Peterbilt.
Seems like the Wellington Chamber of Commerce Equestrian Committee is coming on strong. The co-
chairman of the committee are Victor Connors and Mason Phelps and they are taking their role as equestrian leaders very seriously. Watch out, these guys mean business!

Yikes! Lock your tackrooms! Meadow Grove Training Stables in Lake View Terrace, California had 18 high performance saddles stolen in the night in late November. Thieves knew what they were doing: they took eight Antares, fve Amerigos, and one each CWD and Devoucoux. Most of the saddles had identifying numbers stamped on them and nameplates so there will be holes where they were removed.... Sarah Orberson-Taylor left her horses back at the barn for her frst anniversary celebration with her husband Andy during the holidays. Instead of fowers, diamonds, or designer duds, the landscape supervisor gave his wife, who rides and trains with Finally Farm in SC, her dream gift - a 10-week-old Imperial Shih Tzu puppy that they dubbed Fendi. The little guy joins their Miniature Shi Tzu, Coco (as in Chanel), and their equally cute Cavachon pooch, Gucci in the house, as well as their jumper True Religion and hunters Love & Luck and Macket in the stable
