The Hampton Classic Horse Show returns August 28 – September 4, for its 36th year of world-class equestrian competition, shopping and entertainment. The Hampton Classic features 6 show rings, a Boutique Garden with more than 70 vendors, and a wide selection of dining options on its 60-acre show grounds. The Classic attracts many of the nation’s top riders, with its chic Hamptons charm and schedule of family attractions make it the perfect destination for anybody looking to add style to their summer. Highlighting the Classic is the $250,000 FTI Grand Prix and FEI World Cup™ Qualifer on Sunday, September 4, which is open to horses that successfully complete Friday’s $50,000 Spy Coast Farm Grand Prix Qualifer.
For the frst time, The Hampton Classic will host a $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. “The USHJA Hunter Derby will make Saturday an even more exciting day at the Classic,” said Shanette Barth Cohen, Executive Director.

Also new is the addition of a VIP Tent by Jumper Ring II and electronic scoreboards in both Jumper Ring II and Hunter Ring

Charlotte Jacobs topped a feld of 39 in less than ideal conditions aboard Promised Land, owned by Candy Tribble and Windsor Stables, in the $10,000 Sotheby’s International Realty Welcome Stake. Will she repeat that victory this year?
I. In addition, Sunday morning’s Hermès Hunter Classic is now open to Amateur-Owner competitors jumping 3’3” as well as Junior and Amateur-Owner competitors jumping 3’6”, allowing all those in rated hunter divisions to be part of this prestigious competition.
The Classic also hosts activities such as Cablevision Kids’ Day and ASPCA Adoption Day, where ASPCA hosts local dog and cat shelters as well as horse rescue groups, to showcase animals available for adoption. Celebrity VIP hosts include Grand Prix rider Georgina Bloomberg and Jill Rappaport, the “Today” show’s Animal Welfare Correspondent.
The Hampton Classic will be collecting non-perishable food items as part of their Food Pantry Drive sponsored by MyGofer. com. This will enable competitors who stock kitchens of their week-long rentals to donate rather than throw out unopened goods.
