favorite?

How did you get into riding?
I rode for the frst time at
a friend’s birthday party and loved it so much that I went
back to her farm almost every day that summer. We rode,
cleaned the stalls, took care of the ponies, dressed-up
the ponies and had parades, too. It was a really great
summer.
What is your favorite horse show?
The Youth
Dressage Festival in Saugerties, New York
What was the high point in your riding career?
The
Youth Dressage Festival. It takes a lot of time to prepare
for this event as the fnal results are a combination of
three tests: the written, the equitation, and the dressage
test. Riders come from around the world and everyone is
excited to be there and together. At the event this year I
earned my frst 70% on a riding test and I medaled in my
division. It was an amazing, happy experience.
What was the low point?
At my frst show, I entered the
arena too early and was disqualifed. The judge yelled at
me. I haven’t done that since.
Who are your Equestrian Idols?
Lendon Gray,
Courtney King Dye, Mica Mabragana, Megan Davis
Other than riding, what do you do?
I play lacrosse
and I play the saxophone. In my spare time I keep a
journal and work on my website. They are both full of
photographs and stories about my friends and about my
pony Shazam.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to continue
to work hard so I can compete at higher and higher levels.
I want to be an Olympic Dressage Rider but also to go to
college and to graduate school.
