Approximately 250 riders from six countries descended
upon the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington the fnal week of
July to battle each other and the extremely hot weather for
medals and bragging rights at the 2011 Adequan FEI North
American Junior Young Riders’ Championships (NAJYRC),
presented by Gotham North. This was the fourth time the Park
has hosted this event since the beginning of the NAJYRC in 1974.
The disciplines of dressage, endurance, eventing, reining and
show jumping were contested, with para dressage and vaulting
to be added as NAJYRC offcial sports in the next few years. For
