Brave Heart has 26 grand prix victories and is the only horse to
have won the 25K bonus in the Colorado Horse Park by winning
the $40,000 and the $60,000 grand prixs back to back.
Sidelines:
Do you have any promising up-and-coming young
horses?
BI:
I have several young horses on the way. Some are showing
right now and hopefully they will be successful grand prix winners
in the future.
Sidelines:
What are your riding goals?
BI:
To go to the Olympics if I have the horse for it. I would also
like to go to the World Championship. Another goal is to get the
best out of the horses I have and to keep enjoying my horses.
Sidelines:
Have your kids followed in your equestrian footsteps?
BI:
Everybody in the family enjoys the horses and the horse
shows. My daughter Maria was very successful all the way to the
grand prixs.
My daughter Isabel is starting her career and is looking very
promising.
Sidelines:
If you weren’t a rider, what do you think you would do?
BI:
I love my life with the horses so much and also the riding and
the jumping, so it’s hard to imagine my life without them. In my
free time I do like to play poker. I go to Las Vegas three to four
times a year and I am planning on competing in the 2012 World
Poker Championship.
