A
fter the last evening’s victory gallop from
Wednesday through Saturday at the
Alltech National Horse Show, the place
to be was Gracie Street Garden in the Alltech
Arena. Each night, some of show jumping’s top
riders, owners, trainers and friends gathered
in the sophisticated atmosphere created by M.
Douglas “Dougie” Mutch and her Gracie Street
Design of West Palm Beach. Evening sponsors
included, Taylor Harris Group, Equestrian Aid
Foundation, Equus Foundation, USEF and
International Polo Club.
On Saturday night, after a hair-raising jump-
off in the $250,000 Grand Prix CSI-W, Richard
Spooner and Cristallo beat Nick Skelton and
Alltech National Horse Show’s
Gracie Street Garden
Celebrates New Beginnings
Carlo 273 by just three tenths of a second. Jessica
Springsteen and Cincinnati La Silla came in third.
Jessica was honored with the Leading Lady Rider
Award.

excited and joined in a night of celebration and energy
that this horse show provoked. Bruce and Patti stayed
on the on the dance foor with all of us until well after
2:00 am! We brought the history, tradition and energy
of what we all remember from years of showing at
Madison Square Garden to the Alltech Arena at the
Kentucky Horse Park. With Lexington’s hospitality,
we created the best parties horse shows have seen in
