In last year’s
FTI Consulting Great Charity
Challenge
presented by Fidelity Investments

team, sponsored by

Farm, won $150,000 for the charity
Wheels for Kids
, which
provides special custom-made wheelchairs for children in
need. This incredible donation gave the worthy charity the
ability to give 13 wheelchairs. In the holiday spirit, the Mirabals
announced at the Holiday Horsefest on December 11 that they
will be donating two more wheelchairs to Wheels for Kids!
Celebrating their 30th anniversary, the
Vinceremos
Therapeutics Riding Center
has added numerous accolades
to their already impressive growth and expansion in the
community. Vinceremos continues to expand as the “Cover
Our Kids” Covered Arena project is wrapping up, the lesson
program continues to increase on a weekly basis, and the
support of new board members continues to grow.
2nd annual Jump for HomeSafe set for January 28th at
PBIEC
Paige Johnson
was named event chairperson
for the
second annual
Jump for HomeSafe
and will be entertaining
hundreds of people Saturday, January 28, at the
Palm Beach
International Equestrian Center
during the
Winter Equestrian
Festival’s Nepresso $55,000 Battle of the Sexes.
Proceeds
of the event will support HomeSafe, a non-proft organization
helping victims of domestic violence and child abuse. Each
year HomeSafe serves more than ffteen thousand infants,
children and families in Palm Beach County and South Florida.
Passing: Elizabeth Busch Burke,
one of the country’s most
celebrated equestrian supporters and granddaughter of August
A. Busch, Sr., co-founder of Anheuser-Busch, passed away on
December 20, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends. She
was 76.
Over her lifetime, Luv Luv’s passion for equestrian sport
and her involvement in the hunter/jumper discipline were
legendary. As one of the heirs to the Budweiser Empire, her
commitment to fnancially supporting a long list of events and
championships was a great beneft to the sport. A short list
of her philanthropic support
of such events includes
the Budweiser American
Invitational, the Budweiser
AGA Championship, the
Budweiser Grand Prix of the
Pennsylvania National Horse
Show, the Budweiser Grand
Prix of the Devon Horse
Show and the Budweiser

She also worked on the
administrative side of the
sport as a member of the
Show Jumping Hall of Fame
Board of Directors and she
was an inductee into the
Show Hunter Hall of Fame.
Her involvement extended
as owner of some of the
sports’ top horses, as well.
She was the proud owner
of Olympic Games mount
Authentic, ridden by Beezie
Madden. She also owned
many champion show
hunters.
