SIDELINES FEBRUARY 2012 59
It was defnitely my best year in the equitation and also in the
jumpers, thanks to Coach Korotkin.

What are your riding goals?
LF:
This past year I reached a bunch of my goals like Prix des
States, Young Riders, ribbon in a fnals and ribbons in a grand
prix.  My future goals are to improve on the things that I’ve done
and to grow as a rider.  My real challenge will be balancing
riding and college and then riding and a job.  Another one of my
goals is to fgure out exactly how I’ll go about doing that.

Sidelines:
What are your plans for after high school?
LF:
Everyone always asks me if I’m going to ride in college
and my answer is always the same - I don’t know.  I’ve started
looking at colleges and if I fall in love with one that has a riding
team then I will no doubt try it out. So far, though, none of the
schools I have visited have teams but there is no doubt in my
mind that I will continue riding during and after college even if
I just board my horses at a barn near college. I’m not planning
on giving it up any time soon.

Sidelines:
When you aren’t riding, what hobbies do you like?
LF:
Riding and school take up most of my time.  I’m not a girl
with a whole lot of free time, so riding is my hobby.  It feels
strange calling it a hobby because it’s more like half of my life;
it’s not just something I enjoy doing, it’s something that is a
part of me.

Sidelines:
If you weren’t a rider, what do you think you would
do?
LF:
From the ages of 6 to 11, I was an awesome defense
player on my local soccer team. If I didn’t ride, I would probably
pursue the soccer route and play for my school, Saint Andrew’s.
However, it’s pretty hard to imagine not riding.

Sidelines:
Describe yourself in 10 words or less.
LF:
Caring, sociable, smart, love to laugh and make people
laugh.

Ormsby Hill will be out to pasture any time soon
