took a short “rest” in the middle of
the water complex; but soldiered
on to fnish with no other concerns
to complete the Open Intermediate
course. They were fne the next
day and completed the stadium
to fnish thirteenth. Relatively
few cross-country problems, all of
them minor, occurred this year at
Red Hills

in the Open Preliminary, were
winners of one of the new Jockey
Club’s Thoroughbred Incentive
Program (TIP) Preliminary High
Point award at Red Hills. The
TIP program encourages the
retraining of Thoroughbreds
after racing for new careers.
They also awarded TIP awards
in two other divisions – winners
received a ribbon, saddle pad
and $100
