Photographer Anne Hoover’s sunrise
racing photo was a favorite on the
Sidelines Facebook page. What’s
not to like about this gorgeous photo
taken in Aiken, South Carolina?
This photo earned comments such
as “Stunning,” “This could be the
most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen”
and “What an amazing moment
to capture! Compliments to the
photographer.” Visit Anne’s website

We asked our Sidelines
Facebook friends to write
captions for a photo of a
mock hunt taken in Aiken,
South Carolina. Everyone
was very creative but it was
Amanda Cargile who had
Facebook fans laughing
with her caption, “Studies
show that 100% of horses
led to water will not drink.”
Rebekah Chenelle’s smiling
face will be featured in
“Faces in the Crowd” in
Sports Illustrated Magazine
and all of Sidelines Facebook
friends were thrilled to
see her representing
equestrian sports in SI. The
Interscholastic Equestrian
Association (IEA) named
Rebekah, who is from
Hebron, Connecticut
and attends Cornerstone
Christian School in
Manchester, the leading
Hunt Seat Rider for 2012.

What’s this pony thinking? When
Emily Curley’s photo ran on the
Sidelines Facebook page it was
a hit. Stuart McDonald helped
out by writing the caption, “Um,
there’s a 9 year-old girl loose in
the ring right now so you should
probably shut the gate.” Emily, a
sophomore in high school, was
standing by the pony hunter ring
at the Old Salem Farm Horse
Show when this pony lost its
rider. “I saw the pony trot over
to the end of the ring where I
was and just stand there until his
rider came and got him! It was
adorable,” she said.
