After two years of being held on Grand Prix Sunday, the
Hampton Classic’s
incredibly
popular
Leadline Class
(more than 100 entries!) is moving back to Opening Day (Sunday,
August 25). It moved in 2011 when Hurricane Irene forced cancellation of the Classic’s
Opening Day and then stayed on Grand Prix Sunday last year. However, Opening Day gives
the Leadliners a chance to ride in the Classic’s famed Grand Prix Ring and so the switch
back has been made. Olympic Gold Medalist
Joe Fargis
is expected to return as judge!
