British Polo Day featured polo played against the backdrop of the majestic Atlas Mountains.

British Polo Day – presented by Land Rover – celebrated its first event on African soil with the inaugural British Polo Day Morocco. Guests including Sir Richard Branson, philanthropist Eve Branson, Philip Treacy, British Ambassador to Morocco Clive Alderton, U.S. Ambassador to Morocco Dwight L. Bush Sr. and a handful of Virgin Galactic astronauts gathered at the Jnan Amar Polo Club for a day of top polo, followed by a Gala Dinner which raised over $175,000 – a record for the British Polo Day Global Series. Hosted by the Jnan Amar Polo Club for the benefit of The Eve Branson Foundation, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and the auspices of the Royal Moroccan Polo Federation, British Polo Day entertained over 350 guests and VIPs.

Roseview Farms of Millbrook, New York, and Wellington, Florida, unveiled their “Shooting-Brake” field bar at the 17th annual Mashomack International Polo Challenge tailgating competition. The “Shooting-Brake” was a hit and won the tailgating competition! Roseview, a renowned designer of high end tailgating trailers and equestrian facilities has been nationally recognized for the repurposing of historic trailers. The “Shooting-Brake” field bar was created from a 1969 Swiss Army trailer, antique lumber and hardware from period wooden boats, vehicles and equipment. A staple of the Downton Abbey era, shooting-brakes were used to transport everything needed for formal shooting parties and luncheons held in the field after a day of shooting. Typical contents included all dining equipment, utensils, table settings, hounds and the downed quarry.  The Roseview shooting-brake is no exception to this grand tradition, stocked with antique coolers, a built-in bar, a period canvas tent with poles and banners that are all integrated into the actual vehicle structure. The Mashomack International Polo Challenge is the formal start of the Millbrook social season and the tented luncheon complete with the tailgating competition is not to be missed.
