Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc. is pleased to announce that Reiners by the Bay, a National Reining Horse Assocation (NRHA) sanctioned event, has just been added to the 2012 Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival calendar. Dates for the only reining show of this caliber to be hosted in Northwest Michigan will be August 3 – 5.
Reiners by the Bay’s list of events includes a four, five, & six year-old Derby, a three-year old Futurity, two full slates of ancillary classes as well as HSBB ladies, mens, and green reiner opportunity classes that do not require association memberships for those riders wanting to give reining a try.
$30,000 is being added to the prize money payout in addition to NRHA trophies and prizes to class winners.
Says Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc owner and show manager, Alexandra Rheinheimer, “We are excited to be adding Reining to the Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival this season. Our Hunter/Jumper and Dressage exhibitors have told us how much they enjoy showing at Flintfields Horse Park and we believe that the Reining community will enjoy the Horse Park and Traverse City as much as our other exhibitors have done during the last 8 years.”

Reiners by the Bay is being held this year at the beautiful Flintfields Horse Park which is located 10 miles west of the popular vacation destination Traverse City, MI.
The Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival starts on June 22nd with a three ring Dressage show and then continues on throughout July with a four week series of Hunter/Jumper rated competitions.
