“Thanks to Petography, household pets
can enjoy the sort of aristocratic imaging
that hasn’t been seen since Sir Edward
Landseer immortalized Queen Victoria’s

Jim’s work has been featured at William
Secord Gallery, a prestigious Madison
Avenue gallery in Manhattan; it was the
gallery’s first exhibit ever that featured
photographs and only the second time
ever that the gallery featured the work of a
living artist! In addition to being featured in
his books, his photos can also be seen on
greeting cards, tee shirts and calendars,
not to mention in the homes of his many
super-satisfied clients!
“I consider myself truly fortunate to be
able to share people’s special relationships
with their pets,” he said. “When they entrust
me with the responsibility of capturing their
pets on film just the way they see them,
well, that’s a role I take very seriously and
it’s something I consider a privilege.”
Jim is constantly reminded of his deep love for animals at home.
He and his wife Chiara can be found on their small farm being

walked by their canine companion, Sawyer - “The Great Vacuum
dog” as he calls him, “who is more of a Labrador ‘eater’ rather
than retriever.” He can also be found playing with his adopted cat,
Teo, and constantly being reminded of the wonders of life by his
six-year-old son, Phineas.
“So many things touch us throughout our lives, but it’s often our
pets who mean most to us,” he said. “As any pet owner can attest,
whether it’s in good times or bad, our pets are always there for us.
The response I receive from people to the finished pictures I take
is probably the most rewarding aspect of what I do. People are so
delighted when they see their pets captured exactly as they know
them to be and sometimes they are overwhelmed to the point that
they even shed a tear.”
