The Show Jumping Hall of Fame
has produced a new book
featuring the plaques of all Hall of Fame inductees, plus articles
by Hall of Famers
Frank Chapot, Mary Chapot, Kathy Kusner,
George Morris and Melanie Smith Taylor
.  Books are presented
to ribbon winners in the Show Jumping Hall of Fame jumper
classic series.

W. Gary Baker
. A widely-respected horseman
involved in training, breeding and showing as well as a
highly-regarded hunter/jumper horse show manager and
judge, who also was involved in steeplechase racing, cattle
and dog breeding businesses, passed away January 27,
2014. Gary was 72 years of age. Over the past four decades,
Gary bred eight horses that won National Honors with AHSA/
USEF Horse of the Year titles. Gary’s illustrious career was
capped off with the ultimate honor of receiving the United
States Equestrian Federation’s (USEF)
Pegasus Medal of
Honor
in 2006. He was also inducted into the
Maryland
Horse Show Association
(MHSA)
and Virginia Horse
Show Association
(VHSA)
Hall of Fame
for long-time and
exemplary terms of service.
With deep appreciation for his 30 years of service,
The
Hampton Classic Horse Show
announced that
Steve
Stephens
is retiring as horse show manager. While Steve will
continue to be associated with the horse show as a member
of its Horseman’s Advisory Committee, his retirement as
horse show manager is effective immediately.  Wishing Steve
all the best!
