How do you envision the future
of the organization?
I hope to see us grow on both
a large and small scale. In the
next few years I’d like to see
us become known throughout
the horse world. There are 22
disciplines recognized by the
USEF, and we’re only familiar
to three of them. This needs to
change. I’d like to see us expand
nationwide. Since we began in
1996 we’ve given assistance to
recipients from nearly all the 50
states, yet we primarily fundraise
on the East Coast and in Florida.
I also wish to come up with a
signature event — similar to an
Alex’s Lemonade Stand — that
people can take with them to
shows and produce inexpensively
and with little effort that can raise
both funds and awareness for our
cause.
What do you consider the
biggest strength of EAF?
The EAF is incredibly expedient
in how quickly we respond to
requests for help. Janise Gray,

What are some goals that you have for the upcoming year?
In the next year I’d like to hire a development director to work with
me in putting my many ideas into action. We’re in the process of
designing a new logo and promoting our newly revamped mission
statement, so I hope in the coming months to create a lot of buzz
about the “new” EAF.
Are there upcoming EAF events that readers should look into
attending?
We’re hard at work planning some events for Florida this winter, so
