It was an emotional day at Spruce Meadows during a tribute to Hickstead, one of the greatest show jumping horses of all time, who passed away in November 2011. Canadian Eric Lamaze, riding partner of the famed stallion, was on hand to dedicate the statue made by Mary Sand. The bronze will stay permanently at Spruce Meadows, as per Eric’s wishes.
