KARIBU – Welcome to Kenya!

Thursday, June 20 2013 by Editor
First impressions – it was all very easy, albeit a long amount of time in the air – from the US to Heathrow, two hour layover and then another seven hours to Nairobi, whose time zone in seven hours ahead of the US, the UK is six hours ahed of the US (we think) – time has gotten surreal, but we digress. We landed at Nairobi International around 9:30 in the evening, right on time, and it was an easy walk to passport control  – they sent us to desks marked Kenya only and the attendants stamped us through quite quickly (we had all applied for our visas back in the states).

About To Take Off On A Really Big Adventure

Monday, June 17 2013 by Editor
For some reason, the title is as far as we got yesterday at Dulles International Airport – don’t ask, cuz we haven’t the foggiest clue. We couldn’t type once we keyed in the title, it was a bit strange. It’s been a strange few weeks – almost surreal

Win A Chance To Be A “Performer For A Day” In the Sidelines Magazine – Arabian Nights Contest

Sunday, June 02 2013 by Editor
By Jan Westmark-Allan   Sidelines writer Abby Westmark (standing on the horse) took part in the Arabian Nights Performer For A Day experience – and now you can too!! Send in a photo of your horse in a costume (you can be in a costume too)! My daughter, Abby, and I took part in the Arabian Nights “Performer For A Day” experience at the Arabian Nights Dinner Show Attraction in Orlando, Florida not long ago – and we had the time of our lives!! And now you can too! Starting in a few days, we will have a Sidelines Magazine – Arabian Nights “Performer For A Day” contest where three people will win the chance to do what we did – take part in the show. In order to enter you will have to send in a photo of your horse in a COSTUME!! (you can be in costume too, but you don’t have to be – but your horse does!) When you take part in the show at Arabian Nights, they will dress you in a great costume – so the theme of our contest is your horse wearing a costume.
