John Porter competed in winning style at the New England Horsemen’s Council Medal Finals, riding away with the win in the 2013 NEEC Junior Medal. John and trainer Sachine Belle accepted the award from NEEC Committee member Fred Hunt and the 2012 winner, Michael Janson.

Parker, CO- June 22, 2013 - A crowd of spectators gathered to watch spectacular show jumping at the much-anticipated $30,000 Nutrena Summer in the Rockies III Grand Prix in the Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena at the Colorado Horse Park on a perfect Colorado Saturday afternoon. In the first round of the event, 19 horse and rider combinations battled it out over international course designer Alan Wade’s track, attempting to progress to the jump-off round.

Congratulations to 11-year-old Sophia Pilla, who trains with Lainie Wimberly of Brigadoon Show Stables. Sophia had an incredible WEF season with many championships, reserve championships and pony medal wins. Many of the wins were on her six-year-old children’s hunter Poprocks. Sophia also earned a championship on Greystone’s Star Bright in the small/medium children’s pony hunters

Has Premier Equestrian gone to the dogs? Kind of! Their new Premier Canine launched by providing “mini dressage rings” for the Ukanuba National Dog Show in Orlando. The rings looked very elegant; but it seems it was the French “Bull Dog” kissing station that had Heidi and Shirley Zorn puckering up at the show! Draper

Catching up: Congratulations to Hap Hansen, grand prix rider and West Coast legend who rode to his 99th grand prix win on Sunday, February 12th, in the $30,000 SmartPak Grand Prix at HITS Thermal! Robbie Hunt joined the staff at Stransky’s Mission Farm as trainer, adding his hunter know how to their winning jumper team.
