The 15-year-old rider and Chansonette Farm, LLC’s Pumped Up Kicks closed out three weeks of spring shows at HITS-on-the-Hudson with the only double clear of the day, cracking the code to Canadian designer Danny Foster’s track. The pair started competing together at the start of the winter circuits in Florida this year and Sunday marked the first grand prix victory for both.

Karolyi and Amigo, a nine-year-old Zangersheide gelding, topped a starting field of 27 horse and rider combinations to capture the win over a course that left many struggling. Fairfield, CT — (May 14, 2013) – Only twice in the 40-year history of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships have two hunter seat teams tied for the Collegiate Cup overall high point title: 1980, when Southern Seminary College tied with SUNY Stony Brook, and 1989, when Colby-Sawyer College tied with Pennsylvania State University. ROLEX KENTUCKY plus horsey things back in Virginia…
Thursday, April 25 2013
by Editor
Why is it so challenging to get sorted out with deadlines and pack for Rolex without a lot of last minute insanity and assorted crazy moments? Well, perhaps because Rolex is, quite simply, one of the greatest (horse) shows on earth! This four-star equestrian triathlon of dressage, cross-country and show jumping is an exciting three-phase test of horse and rider. We’re looking forward to a completely unique Rolex experience this year, because for the first time ever the Sidelines’ presence will be a team: editor Jan Westmark-Allen, writer Abby Westmark, freelance photographers Beth Harpham and Beth Grant, Sidelines TV Rob Jordan (who might not be able to join us after all), and yours truly.
