Freddie Vazquez defied the odds and fulfilled a lifelong dream to ride for Puerto Rico by competing at the Pan Am Games even after his equine partner, the beautiful stallion Zippo Z, was sidelined with a minor injury. He forged ahead with Esprit De Vie (pictured), a new mount he had only ridden for a few weeks. His story will be portrayed in The American Dreams Project, a collection of photographic portraits of Americans from all walks of life, from all across the country. The collection of photos and accompanying hand-written “American Dreams” will be published into a large format book and exhibited nationally.
