Wellington, FL (January 29, 2015) — The maker of GumBits (Gambit Atlanta, Inc.) is thrilled to announce the newest addition to its talented team of sponsored riders — 2014 USEA Lady Rider of the Year, Eventer Lauren Kieffer. As the first-ever $50,000 Wellington Eventing Showcase approaches, GumBits plans to help Kieffer and her mount Czechmate achieve an exceptional ride.
Joining a list of talented equestrians like Steffen Peters and David Marcus, Kieffer is pleased to be sponsored by Gambit Atlanta. The revolutionary GumBits produced by the company are small, round treats that trigger salivation and eliminate teeth grinding. Horses love them — and Kieffer does, too.
“GumBits is excited and committed to sponsoring top up and coming eventers like Lauren Kieffer,” says Shereen Fuqua, founder of Gambit Atlanta, Inc.
Kieffer first learned of GumBits when she won a package of them during the Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three Star event last fall. She gave the product a try and quickly found GumBits to be a great tool — especially for event horses who tend to become tense during the dressage portion of competition.
“I have found GumBits to be a simple, kind, and non-invasive solution to horses that get tense or grind their teeth,” Kieffer said. “It’s really a no-brainer. The horses love them and it solves the problem. I highly recommend them to everyone.”
Kieffer’s dressage coach Canadian Dressage Olympian Jacqueline Brooks is also an advocate of GumBits and highly recommends their use. “I love GumBits!” she adds.
During the upcoming weekend’s $50,000 Wellington Eventing Showcase, Kieffer plans to utilize GumBits with her mount, Czechmate. The $50,000 Wellington Eventing Showcase is a brand new exhibition event that will be held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, which also plays host to the Winter Equestrian Festival and Adequan Global Dressage Festival, which GumBits also sponsors. Invited competitors include Kieffer and other top riders like Buck Davidson, Phillip Dutton, and Boyd Martin. The equestrians will ride a USEF/USEA Advanced Test ‘B,’ a show jumping course designed by Richard Jeffrey of Great Britain, and a cross country course designed by Captain Mark Phillips for the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s first-ever cross country event. GumBits is thrilled to be a part of the event through their sponsorship of Kieffer.
Shereen Fuqua of Atlanta, Georgia, founded Gambit Atlanta, Inc., in 2005.
