Kitty Clay Teams Up with Sintessi to Benefit JustWorld International

Interiors shop and world-renowned jeweler host 2-day event in Southampton Village

Southampton, NY – August 26, 2013 – Two designers from two different worlds recently teamed up to give back.  Kitty Clay, owner of the new eponymous interiors boutique in Southampton welcomed jewelry designer Michel Piranesi of Sintessi on Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23 for two “Meet the Designer” events to benefit JustWorld International.

Hosted by JustWorld Ambassadors Reed Kessler, Nic Roldan, Candice King and Brandon Phillips, guests sipped on rosé and nibbled on light bites as they perused Kitty’s eclectic mix of home goods, sourced from artisans around the world.  Others tried on timeless pieces from Sintessi’s refined jewelry collection, which sparkled from a table in the middle of the room. Leesa Rowland, Alex Cecil, Annie Falk, Shamin Abas and R. Couri Hay were just a few of the notables on hand.

10% of sales from across the two days will benefit JustWorld International, who works through the international equestrian community and its extensive networks to fund and sustain programs that provide basic education, nutrition, health, hygiene and vocational programs for children in impoverished communities throughout the globe.

“I spend several months out of the year traveling to different parts of the world, sourcing and handpicking new items for the shop,” said Clay.  “I’ve seen the plight firsthand that some children have to experience in impoverished communities, so this is a cause that’s very close to my heart.”

“I jumped at the opportunity to help,” added Piranesi.  “We are so privileged to be surrounded every day by such fine things.  Giving back is what it’s all about.”
