Sidelines Flipbook History

Here is a little bit of history of Sidelines Magazine in digital format, specifically in a flipbook format.

Sidelines Magazine was founded in 1989, by Samantha Charles. You can see the first two issues in the Older Issues Archive page.

Before 2010 we published the magazine in pdf format, by uploading different sections in separated pdfs. Go to the bottom of the Magazine Older Issues Archive.

In 2011 we started our Flipbook online version using FlippingBook software, which used Flash. Click on an issue cover to flip through our magazine! For more issues, please visit our Sidelines Magazine Older Issues Archive.

In 2015 we started working with MAZ Digital, they hosted our flipbooks and native apps for Apple and Google Play.

In December 2019 we uploaded our magazine to Magloft, which provided a web reader and native Apple, Google Play and Amazon apps.

Starting Dec 2025, we switched to Publuu, which offers a professional looking flipbook magazine, a custom domain and more.
