It doesn’t get dark in Traverse City.

Castlewood  has traveled to a new venue for us: Traverse City, Michigan, home of Horse shows by the Bay. It took some 13 hours of driving for us to reach our second stop on our summer tour, but the journey has been well worth the trouble. From the layout of the facility, to the hotels, the food, entertainment, and a sun that seemingly never set, we have enjoyed the experience.

Aachen, Germany (July 16, 2012)   – The 2012 CAIO Aachen was a rollercoaster of ups and downs for US driver Chester Weber, who with a team of horses owned by himself and Jane Forbes Clark is competing on the European tour this summer with his sights set on the World Championships in Reisenbeck.  Despite an excellent start, Weber met with a string of unfortunate events combined with moments of brilliance during his tour at Aachen, from record-breaking dressage scores to his horse putting a leg over a trace and an emergency in his immediate family.

Alison Finger and Tuvalu Earn the Adult Amateur Jumper Championship at Lake Placid

Wellington- July 14, 2012- After earning some great prizes in the Adult Amateur Jumper Over 40 division at week one at Lake Placid, Alison Finger and her big grey gelding, Tuvalu, “Blue”, delivered the goods to earn the championship in week two, the I Love New York Show. Alison Finger and Tuvalu (Photo by Parker/Russell The Book LLC) “I think it just came together for us during week two in Lake Placid.  Blue was really in a great place and so was I-I was taking a work break and spent ten days in Lake Placid. It was really wonderful to ride and be with my horse every day, ” said Finger, who juggles a busy career, family, riding and showing.

Juniors and Amateur-Owners Win Big with Nearly $35,000 Awarded at Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival

Ponies Stolen From Youth Ranch Found

The two ponies stolen last month from their youth ranch home have been recovered, officials said Saturday. Rusty and Sundae, both female ponies, were stolen from First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake’s Circle C Youth Ranch. The ponies were used to give almost 200 kid visitors rides at the ranch
