Washington, D.C. – July 19, 2012 – The Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) is pleased to announce the return of the Fidelity Investments® Club, a VIP dining platform in Verizon Center that gives spectators a spectacular vantage point to watch the top horses and riders in the country. The Washington International Horse Show, now in its 54th year, will be held October 23-28, 2012, at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.

The six-week equestrian competition is running at Harold Beebe Farm from July 4 through August 12, 2012.

Laura Pfeiffer On Fire in Open Jumper Competition Traverse City, MI – July 19, 2012 – After observing Laura Pfeiffer win the featured 1.35-meter Open Jumper class on Wednesday during the Horse Shows by the Bay Equestrian Festival, you might have believed that Pfeiffer could have done it with one hand tied behind her back. Because she almost did. During the jump-off, as Pfeiffer tackled what would become the decisive and winning turn with her mount Cosmo, she had an equipment malfunction

THURSDAY 19 JULY The Amlin Plus Eventing Grand Prix ended in thrilling fashion today, with the win going to Irish showjumper Trevor Breen. He just pipped Olympic event rider Andrew Nicholson to the title, with Grand National-winning jockey Robbie Power in third. From Pony Derby to Grand Prix–Jackson Brittan Wows Crowd Parker, CO– The $40,000 Weathertech.com Grand Prix presented by Wells Fargo Advisors was the highlight of week five of the Colorado Summer Circuit. Thirty-one competitive horse and rider pairs tested their mettle against a challenging course set by Anderson Lima, with eight jumping clean to advance to the second round. Talented riders like Hector Florentino, Maggie Jayne, Kelsey Thatcher and Bjorn Ikast gave the jump-off a valiant effort, but Canadian Olympian John Pearce had another victory in his pocket.
