Flesh and Blood 2

In 2012 my son began riding and entered his first horse shows, I wrote “Flesh and Blood 1,” as a parent watching his son show and less as the professional trainer that I am. I wrote about how my wife ( who by the way was also once a professional trainer) and I were just like all the “whacko,” parents of the kids we teach; we video taped everything, coddled him, took thousands of pictures, made sure he had a drink even before he left the ring, and whooped like idiots for all his trips, even if they were crappy. It’s has now been almost 3 years of him showing and about to be 2015, and things haven’t really changed

2014 National Cutting Horse Association Futurity

From November 20 th through December 13 th this year, cutting horse enthusiasts will descend on Fort Worth, Texas. The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) World Championship Futurity brings together the very best 3-year-old cutting horses under the roof of the Will Rogers Memorial Center. The event, offering $4 million in prize money, spans 25 days and attracts crowds of thousands of spectators every year.

Wrapping up 2014!

A lot has been happening with the USC Aiken eventing team as we wrap up the 2014 year! First we had three members compete at the Full Gallop Schooling HT. Kristen Miller rode her gelding Game On in the Novice A division. The pair finished 7th with only a little xc time to add to their dressage score.
