To carry the hopes and expectations of a nation on one’s shoulders is both an honour, beyond the realm of the ordinary, and a weight, which only the most gifted from each generation can ever aspire to carry. The three foundation sports of the FEI Family, Dressage, Eventing and Jumping and the more recent addition to our organisation, Para-Equestrian Dressage, hold a unique position in the modern Olympic & Paralympic Games as the only sports in which an athlete combines skills with an animal to create a partnership
