A fashion-forward equestrian, 18-year-old Olivia Burns is turning heads in Wellington as Wellington’s Next Top Model.
The hunter/jumper rider based out of Wellington, Florida, has been riding since she was 6 years old and recently has come into the limelight in the fashion industry. Having already established herself as a model, she currently appears in the Stephano Laviano ads in Sidelines Magazine and The Social Happenings Handbook.
Recently, Olivia appeared on the cover of Wellington The Magazine as the winner of the Next Top Model Contest.
The magazine features her wearing several La Casa Hermosa gowns, which beautifully showcase Olivia’s features.
During her photo shoot, which she earned along with her Next Top Model title, she had the opportunity to work with leading stylist Claudia Diesti and Claudia’s daughter, makeup artist Monica Diesti.
With Olivia’s good looks combined with a great team, it comes as no surprise that the photo shoot produced an array of beautiful photographs — and a stunning cover.
“I was so excited when I got the cover,” Olivia said. “I was even a little surprised at how edgy I looked, because I usually smile in photos — but I loved it!”
As a fashionista, Olivia says she likes to change it up and her look completely depends on the occasion. Of course, she enjoyed the opportunity to dress in designer formal wear during her photo shoot.
When Olivia isn’t working the camera, however, you can usually find her enjoying the equestrian scene. Olivia is currently working with her mom’s new 4-year-old Warmblood, riding a boarder’s horse and occasionally showing a couple of Casey Martino’s clients’ jumpers.
“My favorite thing about riding is showing and of course getting top ribbons, but I love being around the horses regardless,” she said.
Olivia has a long history with show horses, starting with numerous ponies she helped train with her sister and mom for Hob Nob Ponies, Inc. She then competed in the Junior Hunters and dabbled in the big equitation. In her junior riding days, she trained with Susan Tuccinardi, Rob Coluccio and Casey Martino.
You can also find Olivia on the beach, watching polo on Sundays and just hanging out with friends.
As for her future, Olivia is attending college and pursing business courses with aspirations of starting her own equine or fashion business. She also plans on continuing modeling, and is looking to become involved with an agency.
Whether Olivia’s future involves horses, fashion or modeling — or a little bit of everything — it’s clear that her future is bright and she’s grateful to everyone who has supported her along the way.
