Since the show I have been busy waking up at 5am to be on the moment the sun rises to beat the hot 100 degree temperatures we have been having. I gave my horse Monday off to rest physically and mentally from the not so great horse show weekend. I rode him Tuesday morning with the plan that we would have a jump lesson Wednesday morning.

While many of us don’t mind the smell of horse at all and would even welcome it into our homes, our other family members might not feel the same way. Keeping the horse smell from permeating your home can be a bit of a challenge, but with a little planning, you can minimize how much l’eau de horse enters your home. Have a Designated “Horse” Room If possible, have a mudroom, section of the garage, or other small entryway which is designated as your horse area.
