Featuring the USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Member Event and the

Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Incentive South Regional Championships

Raeford, NC – December 16, 2021 – The Carolina Horse Park (CHP) and North Carolina Hunter Jumper Association (NCHJA) are pleased to announce a partnership to host the 2022 NCHJA Annual Horse Show. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Annual Horse Show will run June 29th-July 3rd at the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, North Carolina. Top exhibitors from throughout the Southeast will take part in Hunter, Jumper and Equitation classes across the five days of competition.

Being held for the first time at the Carolina Horse Park, the NCHJA Annual Horse Show will feature many exciting and prestigious classes, including the USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Member Event and the Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Incentive South Regional Championships. Additionally, National and Pony Hunter Derbies will be held alongside four NCHJA Equitation Medal Finals and diverse hunter and jumper classes.

Patrick Rodes, a Partner of the Southbound Saratoga Management Group, who will serve as the 2022 show manager, visited the park this month and stated, “Moving to the Carolina Horse Park is going to be a breath of fresh air. The Park has all the amenities to give the horse show exhibitors the feel of returning to a classic, historic show as it should be and as it deserves.”

“The NCHJA is thrilled to make this move and we look forward to working with Carolina Horse Park.  The facility and the grounds are beautiful and the rings and footing are of the highest quality.  Our members are going to love showing with us at this amazing venue.  This year’s Annual Horse Show will again extend to our exhibitors the southern hospitality for which we are known. The community’s amenities are a bonus including the fabulous dining, spa facilities and the many extraordinary golf courses, it will have the true feel of a destination horse show. It is sure to be one of our best shows yet,” said Cyndi Peterson, NCHJA Horse Show Chair.

The NCHJA Annual Horse Show is a further addition to the CHP’s extensive competition calendar. Annually, the Park hosts top international and national events including the Cloud 11~Gavilan North LLC Carolina International, the Sedgefield at the Park Hunter and Jumper Series, the War Horse Event Series among other Dressage, Driving, Hunter/Jumper and Eventing competitions.

“We are honored to be hosting the 2022 NCHJA Annual Horse Show and look forward to welcoming all the exhibitors and their connections to the CHP,” said Carolina Horse Park Chairman Bryan Rosenberg. “Over the last few years, the Park has added many new amenities including the new all-weather footing in the Edith Overly Arena, the  Setters’ Run Farm Arena as well as the James Baker Pavilion. We are looking forward to an outstanding NCHJA Annual Horse Show next year.”
