Looking for a sport horse? The KWPN Center has just what you want! The KWPN is launching a new initiative: the KWPN Online Auction. Twelve talented horses have been selected for the auction by four expert horsemen: Gertjan van Olst, Nol Gerritsen, Teus van den Brink, and John Steeghs. Several weeks ago, the selected horses began a six-week training program at the KWPN Center. A special website has been created for this auction, where prospective bidders can find extensive information about the auction collection and bid on horses of their choice from February 3 – 13.
With a collection of eight jumpers and four dressage horses, bidders have ample opportunity to find a suitable horse. The collection includes horses which finished high in the young horse competitions, a third round viewing stallion, and predicate mares suited for both sport and breeding. Each horse has passed a clinical and radiographic examination and is deemed suitable for sport. Last week, the horses were photographed and filmed. Prospective bidders can now view these images and learn more about these high-quality horses on the auction website. In addition, prospective bidders are invited to view the horses in person and test-ride them at the KWPN Center by appointment or register for the special test-ride days at the KWPN Center. Round-trip shuttle service from the Brabanthallen in ’s-Hertogenbosch to the KWPN Center in Ermelo will be available during the KWPN Stallion Show.

The KWPN (Studbook of the Royal Dutch Sport Horse) is the breeding organization of the Netherlands for jumpers, dressage horses, harness horses, and Gelder horses. The KWPN boasts about 26,000 members in the Netherlands and an average of 10,000 foals born each year. Performance, durability, and attractive conformation are the most important factors on which the international success of the Dutch horse is based. For years, the KWPN has topped the studbook rank list of the international breeding umbrella organization, the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH).
