The Horses Healing Hearts White, White West Party Will Be a Star-Studded Event

Wellington, FL – February 14, 2013 – As Valentine’s Day welcomes in the roses, cards and candy, we all can enjoy the ones we love, or even imagine the ideal date with a celebrity. Look no further as the White, White West Party benefiting Horses Healing Hearts offers more than food, fun and entertainment at the Players Club on February 22, 2013. World-ranked polo player Jeff Blake and 2012 Miss Florida USA Karina Brez will be up for auction at the event, sure to be the highlight of the night’s live auction.

Before playing on the winning Gold Cup team, polo player Jeff Blake, a Wellington resident, was selected Young Player of the Year in 1998. Blake has an impressive resume, including winning the National 20-goal in 2011, winning the Pacific Coast Open in 2011, and being the multi-time winner of the Joe Barry Memorial.

Blake currently plays for La Casa Hermosa Polo Team- LVH Polo in the 14-goal and Scott Wood in the 20-goal. At the White, White West Party, the guest who wins Blake in the auction will not only be able to take a polo lesson with the all-star, but also have a once-in-a-lifetime date with the athlete.

“We met Blake in the last three months and he was very willing to help the cause, so we decided to make the partnership,” said Liz Olszewski, Founder of Horses Healing Hearts.

“It was my physical trainer who introduced me to Liz,” Blake explained. “I had some friends who had gone through alcoholism and that’s kind of what sparked my involvement. We all know someone who has been a victim to substance abuse. I’ve been auctioned off in the past, and I am hoping for that this will bring in a little bit of money for the organization. I would hope that there would be a spot for me in the future if I could help out, I would love to stay involved.”

Karina Brez will also be up for auction at the event. The lucky winner will receive a day with Brez who was 2012 Miss Florida USA. In addition to her design and appraisal career, Brez is also the new host for AVC’s The Value Vault; Karina is not just another pretty face. Being well-traveled and well-versed in gemology, Karina shares information on trends and facts about the gems and minerals she so beautifully models. Brez is one of the most educated and accomplished graduate gemologists of her age. In addition to her Graduate Gemologist Diploma, Karina seems a natural for a career in broadcasting as she set her eyes on a pageant goal, attained the title of Miss Florida USA 2012, and went on to compete in the Miss USA in Las Vegas later that same year. “Karina is in an ambassador for Horses Healing Hearts and has been helping to promote the cause for the past year and a half, so she was an obvious choice for the event,” remarked Olszewski.

“This is the first time that I have ever agreed to do something like this,” Brez admitted. “It was the children involved in Horses Healing Hearts that opened up the door for me to agree to be auctioned off. I think that this is a great opportunity to raise money for the organization, and also a wonderful way to donate my time to someone who believes in its cause.”

Along with Blake and Brez, Amber Marshall and Amber Leigh will also be attending the White, White West Party. Marshall, an actress on the television series Heartland, will be holding a meet and greet with the Horses Healing Hearts kids from 6-7 pm before the event. In addition to attending the event, Leigh will also be performing.

The White, White West Party will take place on Friday, February 22, at the Players Club, 13410 South Shore Blvd., Wellington. Tickets for the event are $80 if purchased before February 21, 2013. Tickets at the door cost $100. There will be a buffet/carving station, and a cash bar at the event.
