“Forces of Nature,” designed by Jagdish Prabhu, is one of 32 horses around the Carolina Foothills on public display through mid-October. As part of the Art of the Horse community arts project put together by Our Carolina Foothills, this was a commissioned piece for local resident and accomplished dressage equestrian Elma Garcia. To create this horse, Jag brought together two manifestations of the forces of nature: the power of the horse and the power of wind. He used wind blowers to move acrylic paint around the surface at speeds up to 200 mph to create a sense of movement, force and dynamism.
