offcenterline2 copyThe dressage community is a traveling bunch! Heather Blitz and her hubby are in Africa as we go to press, while Shannon and Loren Dueck (pictured) just got back from yet another trip to Italy, this time it was Rome and the Isle of Capri. Thank goodness they missed their dogs and horses or they may never have returned.

Congratulations are in order for Oded Shimoni who just purchased his own farm in Wellington right next to Spy Coast Farm. Oded and the love of his life, jumper rider Nataly Leibovitz, have big plans for the farm.

Dog lovers everywhere gave a collective sigh of relief upon learning that Carol Cohen’s beloved Chihuahua, Sabrina, was found. The much-loved pup went mysteriously missing from the townhouse Carol is redesigning in Palm Beach Polo. Glad to hear that Sabrina is safe and sound!

Artist and Show Chic owner, Michele Hundt, reports that she is keeping busy working on a very exciting commissioned painting for…(Nah…more details when the masterpiece is revealed.)

Bent Jensen is known for being hip when it comes to dancing and musical freestyles and now he has a brand new hip. We are pleased to learn that Bent’s surgery went great and we should see Bent up and dancing by the end of the summer.

Mr. Dressage of the Four-in Hand world, Chester Weber, proved he is more than circles and extensions when he won the Marathon (and the cones and the Championship) at his first European competition in Saumur, France.  Well done!

Congratulations to Canadian Olympian David Marcus on his hat trick. David made a clean sweep of the grand prix division at the CDI3* Angelstone International Dressage Tournament in Rockwood, Ontario. Riding his 2012 London Olympic mount, Chrevi’s Capital, David won both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle while Don Kontes stood in the winner’s circle following the Grand Prix Special.

International Dressage rider Suzanne Dansby Bollman and her equine partner Cooper, an 18.3 hand Holsteiner gelding, have returned to the Grand Prix following an injury that put Cooper on the sidelines three years ago.
