Among the many forms of horse care are co-op (cooperative) barns in which all horse owners split responsibility for the barn chores and care of all of the horses. Co-op barns provide an alternative to the standard rough, semi-rough, and full boarding options for horse owners who don’t yet own horse barns of their own

On the week prior to the 2014 Maclay finals to be held in Kentucky next Sunday, I cannot help but long for the days of old before there was anything called the “regionals.” I understand the need to limit the amount of participants in the actual class because of time constraints, and space problems, and I don’t actually disagree with the concept, it’s just the giant, all in, finals appeals to me. I cannot help but like the idea of a good old fashioned, two hundred – two seventy plus equitation class that takes all day.

Hey Y’all. SMU Equestrian beat the No. 1 ranked University of Georgia on Sunday! It came down to the very last ride, but the Mustangs were able to pull out the win against the defending national champions. At the end of the competition, it was tied 9-9

On October 25, 1870, Pimlico Race Course, located in Baltimore, Maryland, opened its doors for the first time. Pimlico Race Course is the second oldest racetrack in the United States – Saratoga is the first, having opened in 1864.
