If you are in England, rain is almost always in the forecast.) as I walked over to Greenwich Park this morning it was inevitable, I was going to get wet. I just hoped it didn’t last long and I was better prepared after acquiring a new rain slicker (my other one had started to disintegrate) and learning to bring a trash bag to cover my backpack so the contents didn’t get soaked and the pack would not be covered in ring sand

Olympic Sidelines – Show Jumpers From 26 Countries Compete on Day 1

August 4,2012 By Kim MacMillan – Photo Captions by Allen MacMillan All Photos by Kim & Allen MacMillan/MacMillan Photography/Copyright 2012 The discipline of show jumping is the most popular of the three equestrian sports in terms of entries, and with the public as well, as the grandstands were nearly full today – FINALLY! It is maddening, however, that there are still a number of open seats several places in the stands and yet no one can find tickets available for purchase. What I call the “Royal Box” (where Princess Anne and her nephews William and Harry and Williams’ wife Kate sat during eventing and also some members of the Swedish Royal family during dressage) is a section of roughly 200 seats in the center of the west side of the stadium and it is never full

Keep Cool With Hot Summer Animo Fashion
Sunday, August 05 2012
by Editor
Here’s the long and the short of it! Animo apparel is totally functional riding apparel. In fact, their full seat paired with my Antares saddle is a seriously comfy ride and that’s saying a GREAT deal considering how massive a mover Hansel is! Animo apparel is sexy. Animo apparel is comfy AND I seriously wear my breeches with pumps and rocking top out on the town for dinner

August 3, 2012 By Kim MacMillan – Photo Captions by Allen MacMillan All Photos by Allen and Kim MacMillan/MacMillan Photography, Copyright 2012 I walked briskly to Greenwich Park this morning eager to see the next few riders for each team on day 2 of the Grand Prix dressage competition. It was sunny to start with, but rain was promised again mid-day and the weather man wasn’t wrong. Although the rain started just as Edward Gal of the Netherlands was finishing his test on Undercover and it rained only during the 15-minute arena maintenance break.

August 2, 2012 by Kim MacMillan – Photo Captions by Allen MacMillan All photos by Kim & Allen MacMillan/MacMillan Photography, Copyright 2012 As the eventers left center stage the dressage horses moved forward to take up the torch (Olympic pun intended). The day dawned sunny, with a threat of rain (and it did indeed rain fairly hard on and off for about an hour) in the middle of the day, which sadly may have contributed to an eliminated horse and rider from Canada – more later
