Meeting Laura Kraut

It was such fun to do my research before interviewing Laura Kraut. I read an article where her mom spoke of how Laura and her sister Katherine had fun showing their horses at the Tryon, North Carolina show, then took them swimming in the creek near the show barns. Even at a big show, having fun played a predominate role and it continues for the sisters to this day

HSUS logo The Homes for Horses Coalition is a group of like-minded horse rescues and sanctuaries dedicated to ending horse slaughter and other forms of equine abuse, while promoting growth, collaboration and professionalism in the equine rescue and protection community. The Coalition was founded in 2007 and is supported by the Animal Welfare Institute, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and The Humane Society of the United States through the Jim and Jeannie Dodson Equine Protection Fund. The Homes for Horses Coalition is actively engaged in improving the lives of America’s equines by advancing the highest operating standards for equine rescue and retirement homes, promoting responsible horse ownership and facilitating communication and collaboration among equine welfare organizations.
