WELLINGTON, FLORIDA — December 9, 2013 – The Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit organization, will hold its 27th annual dinner and auction on February 7th, 2014 at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida to raise funds for the center.
Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center (VTRC) has provided Equine Assisted Therapies for persons with varying physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities for over 30 years, operating under the motto that “ability overcomes disability”. The annual charity event is a vital part of the organization’s efforts to raise funds for overhead expenses, as well as for the expansion of services and facilities. Founded by executive director Ruth Menor in 1982, Vinceremos – Latin for “overcome” – has enabled many individuals to overcome limitations while challenging them to achieve new levels of capability, movement and communication.
With yearly budget of $850,000, the annual dinner and auction event plays a critical role in helping the non-profit organization meet its financial needs. Last year’s dinner and auction was a tremendous success with 525 attendees, bringing in charitable donations of $450,000. This years event is on track to be the most successful to date. “Pioneering New Frontiers” is an appropriate theme for VTRC’s 27th annual dinner and auction as they work toward covering operating expenses and raising money for Phase II of their “Covering Our Kids” campaign, which includes new stabling, as well as therapy rooms and classrooms. Attendees of the event will enjoy Wild West décor and can come decked out in western cowboy attire. The event includes live and silent auctions, with a separate silent auction lounge boasting over 200 items up for bid. Vinceremos plans to continue the exciting and popular recent tradition of the Annual Buck Off, their mechanical bull-riding contest, while also adding a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament to the fundraising event. Both the Buck Off and Poker Tournament include three preliminary rounds held on the three Thursdays leading up to the dinner and auction, and culminating with the final rounds on February 7th, 2014 during the dinner and auction at the International Polo Club.
Title sponsors of the Buck Off, Benefab Products and Floridian Community Bank, will be supporting Vinceremos 26th Annual Dinner and Auction. Benefab offers beneficial ceramic products for horses and riders at http://www.benefabproducts.com/, and Floridian Community Bank at http://www.floridiancommunitybank.com/, with a branch located in Wellington, is a true community bank that supports Vinceremos’ efforts to make a positive impact on its community of riders. VTRC would also like to show great appreciation to auction sponsor, Purina, and the Official Veterinarians of the VTRC horses, Palm Beach Equine Clinic for their continued annual support.
