United States Victorious in Wellington Nations Cup CDIO 3* presented by Stillpoint Farm

Wellington, FL – April 13, 2013 – The highlight event of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) crowned its victors Friday afternoon at The Stadium of the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC). Ten teams competed in the Wellington Nations Cup CDIO 3*, presented by Stillpoint Farm, including two from both the United States and Canada

Team USA Wins Hollow Creek Farm FEI Young Rider Nations Cup; Brazil Sweeps Children’s and Junior Hollow Creek Farm FEI Nations Cup Classes

Wellington, FL – March 2, 2013 – The Hollow Creek Farm FEI Children’s, Junior, and Young Rider Nations Cups were featured at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) on Saturday, March 2, at the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF) in Wellington, FL. With the first round for each age group held during the day session and all three second rounds held at night under the lights, the team from USA won in the young rider’s class and the teams from Brazil won in the junior’s and children’s classes. Week eight CSIO competition, sponsored by G&C Farm , runs February 27-March 3, 2013

Shane Sweetnam Wins Back to Back in $6,000 Spy Coast Farm 1.40m Jumpers

Wellington, FL – February 8, 2013 – Irish show jumper Shane Sweetnam is on a roll during week five of the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF) with a set of back to back wins in Friday’s $6,000 Spy Coast Farm 1.40m speed and jump-off classes to follow up a victory in Thursday’s $8,000 G&C Farm 1.45m Classic. All three wins were on Spy Coast Farm owned horses – the 1.45m aboard Everly Chin de la Pomme and Friday’s 1.40m speed aboard Cyklon 1083 and jump-off class riding Beluga.

Written by: Lindsay McCall Photos by: Susan Stickle The Great American Insurance Group/ United States Dressage Federation Region 9 Dressage Championships brought forward the highest caliber of riders November 1-4, 2012. The Houston Dressage Society proudly hosted the USDF Region 9 equestrians at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, Texas where the weather maintained warmer than average temperatures over the weekend except for a Saturday afternoon thunderstorm that disrupted the outdoor classes. Among the top performing riders were Professional rider Claire Darnell of Georgetown, Texas, junior rider Anna Campbell of Wylie, Texas, and Elizabeth “Bit” Fingerhut of Houston, Texas.

Aiken Harvest Classic Wrap Up

October 16th, 2012- Equus Event’s first annual Aiken Harvest Classic Horse Show came to a close on Sunday with a weekend full of gorgeous weather and exciting hunter and jumper action.  The show featured a unique set of offerings including Hunt Night, a Pony Hunter Derby, Children’s Adult Hunter Derby, and the first annual $5,000 Aiken Jumper Derby.  ”With the success of the International Hunter Derbies and Derby Finals, we wanted to offer riders who don’t often get to par-take in classes like that the same sort of experience at a regional level “A” show”, said show organizer JP Godard

Lucy Davis’ Winning Ways

Originally published in Sidelines Magazine, August 2010 Winning her very first Grand Prix at the Memorial Day Classic in front of a packed crowd at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on May 31 was not the highlight of 17-year-old Lucy Davis’ riding career. The blond-haired girl with a pixie face and a soft little voice had a few other notches in her belt before she topped industry veterans Susie Hutchinson and Mike Endicott in a four-horse jumpoff during the $25,000 Memorial Day Grand Prix. A member of the 2009 North American Young Rider Zone 10 team, Lucy’s silver medal performance at last summer’s NAYRC Finals in Kentucky earned her an invitation to compete at the European Young Masters in Germany in December
