It’s Back!!! CANTER Mid-Atlantic Online Auction Fundrasier

Bid On Over 100 Exciting Items During the CANTER Mid-Atlantic Online Auction Opens August 14!

Rockville, MD (August 8, 2013).  CANTER Mid-Atlantic’s popular online auction fundraiser is back and bigger than ever: Bidding starts August 14 and ends August 21.  Proceeds from the event go directly to the care and training of ex-racehorses that have been donated to CMA. Graduates of the CMA re-training program evaluated for soundness, suitability and athleticism – have found successful careers in eventing, foxhunting, show jumping, dressage and more.

I Yam a Mandate, aka Tater, is a fabulously quiet guy looking for that perfect home where someone wants to wander through the woods, through the creeks and pop over a log here and there. Standing about 15.2, but currently round as a whiskey barrel, he would fit a variety of people comfortably and make them feel secure in any situation. An old injury means Tater can’t do heavy jumping, but he is very happy going for trail rides and doing some flat work. Available free to the best home, he is currently living in Frederick, Maryland, where he is working on his amazingly robust figure. Tater is a very light cribber and controlled with a strap. For more information, contact CANTER Mid Atlantic, or email allie@canterusa.org or call 301-980-0972.

We are overjoyed at the support we have received for the work we do to transition ex-racehorses into new careers.  Thoroughbred racehorses are amazing animals and it’s through donations and fundraisers such as our online auction that give us the critical funds we need to keep the program going, said Allie Conrad executive director, CANTER Mid-Atlantic.  We truly appreciate the many offers that have come in this year to help support our work.  Because of that support this years auction is shaping up to be one of the best!
