Overnight you could hear the water coursing though the downspouts and when the power went out just about 5:55 A.M., then back on again, the chime of my iPhone woke me up.
Two of our riders have competed since our last blog post! First we had Robin Oliver and her horse Sky-walker compete at the Apple Tree Farm South Combined test. They competed in the Advanced Elementary division.

February 4, 1997: Cigar was named Horse of the Year for the second year in a row. “Horse of the Year” is an Eclipse award which is given to the Thoroughbred racehorse whose performance during the past year is most impressive.

Small Affair Selected as the 2013 WCHR Hunter of the Year

January 29, 2014, Lexington, KY- Named after a great horseman, the Peter Wetherill Cup was created in 2011 to celebrate a current equine athlete who best exemplifies the qualities of a top-class show hunter. The classic silver cup perpetual trophy is presented annually at the WCHR Peter Wetherill Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular in Wellington, FL, to the owner of the World Championship Hunter Rider Program’s Hunter of the Year. This year’s recipient is an athletic 10 year-old bay Selle Francais gelding named Small Affair – Poker to his family and friends, whose prominent record of over 35 Champion and Reserve Champion titles in the Performance Working and Large Junior Hunter sections makes him well-deserving of the title, 2013 WCHR Hunter of the Year.

Peter Wylde Jumping Clinic Benefiting Horses Healing Hearts Concludes With Rave Reviews

Wellington, FL - January 29, 2014 - Riders and equestrian enthusiasts from all over South Florida gathered at Sunshine Meadows Equestrian Village this weekend to learn from one of the country’s greatest riders, while also supporting a worthwhile cause. Olympic Gold Medalist Peter Wylde generously donated his time in support of Horses Healing Hearts, offering a clinic for riders of varying levels on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Presenting Sponsor, Cavalor, hosted a luncheon with the Gold Medalist prior to the start of the clinic.
