FEI CSI4*-W Rating and USEF Heritage Competition WIHS Official Prize List Now Available Online FOR IMMEDIATE RELEAS E Washington, D.C. – July 22, 2014 – The Washington International Horse Show (WIHS), the country’s premier metropolitan indoor horse show, announces exciting news in advance of its 56th annual event, which will be held October 21-26, 2014 at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. I couldn’t count the amount of time I have been asked “You really stay in Aiken during the summer?”. Many of the snow birds have no idea what Aiken is like in the summer and are baffled by the idea of riding in 90 degree weather every day from around May to about October! Despite the many beliefs, there is a lot to do in Aiken during the summer! Yes it may not be as busy and all the Olympians might not be here but summer in Aiken has been something that myself and others have learned to love. So here is a list of what us Aikenites do in the summer! We take a break! In Aiken we can pretty much keep our horses going all year long! However, we all know that’s not fair to our ponies.

Even though it is summer the USCA Eventing team has been busy! Busy competing, riding, attending clinics, having lessons and finally a meeting! We had our first summer meeting for the team. The purpose of the meeting was for the old and new officers to get together to talk and plan.

British break records with world number one slots in all three Olympic disciplines

British riders have broken all-time records, occupying the world number one slots in all three Olympic equestrian disciplines. This is the first time that athletes from one nation have simultaneously topped the FEI World Rankings in Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing. In the latest rankings published by the FEI, Scott Brash heads the Longines Rankings in Jumping, Charlotte Dujardin heads the FEI World Individual Dressage Rankings, and William Fox-Pitt tops the FEI World Eventing Athlete Rankings
