Amateur Susan Griffis Edges Out Pearce for Second Place Parker, CO – June 11, 2013 - The Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix Arena was christened on the first week of the Colorado Horse Park’s Summer in the Rockies in a ceremony during the $30,000 Kathy and Brad Coors Family Grand Prix. A field of 12 horse and rider combinations accepted the challenge of Hector Loyola’s technical track, but it was Canadian John Pearce who expertly navigated the jump-off round, besting the rest with long-time partner Chianto, owned by Forest View Farm and Allison Moore .

Fifteen-year-old Lillie Keenan and Pumped Up Kicks jump to first grand prix win SAUGERTIES, NY (June 10, 2013) – Lillie Keenan and Pumped Up Kicks were pumped up just enough Sunday afternoon to win the $125,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix, presented by Zoetis . The 15-year-old rider and Chansonette Farm, LLC’s Pumped Up Kicks closed out three weeks of spring shows at HITS-on-the-Hudson with the only double clear of the day, cracking the code to Canadian designer Danny Foster’s track. The pair started competing together at the start of the winter circuits in Florida this year and Sunday marked the first grand prix victory for both.

SAUGERTIES, NY (June 1, 2013) – After two in-the-money finishes last week at HITS Saugerties , Todd Minikus and Quality Girl kicked off Week II grand prix action by topping a ten-horse jump-off in the $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix, presented by Zoetis . Minikus won the Week I $10,000 Brook Ledge Open Welcome at HITS Saugerties and picked up sixth and eighth-place ribbons in last week’s grand prix classes, but his spring circuit reached its pinnacle on Friday when he cashed a $7,500 check. “She has really matured a lot over the winter,” said Minikus of Quality Girl, a ten-year-old Oldenburg mare by Quidam’s Rubin x Dobrock.
