Phnom Penh, Cambodia – “I am going to take a break,” Kevin Staut announced at the end of September, “…and I am staying away from show jumping arenas this fall.” Truth be told, his ‘break’ is only relative to show jumping.

A World of Riders: Bringing Student Rider Nations Cup Back to the United States
Friday, September 27 2013
by Editor
By: Kate McManis It happens every four years; the torch is lit, the rings are raised, and the games begin. It is a dream of almost every athlete to represent his or her nation in a world competition and it is an experience and honor that can never be forgotten. Though not yet an Olympian myself (still keeping my fingers crossed), I have been lucky enough to represent the United States of America three times at Student Rider Nations Cup (SNRC) competitions.

SmartPak Introduces New and Improved SmartVite Formulas Four Multi-Vitamins Target Horse Age and Workload
Thursday, September 19 2013

PLYMOUTH, MA—September 18, 2013— A horse owner survey revealed that seven out of ten horses do not get a full serving of fortified grain or complete feed. Adequate levels of vitamins and minerals are critical to the proper functioning of every major body system, including immune, digestive, nervous, circulatory, musculoskeletal, respiratory, endocrine and skin. If your horse is getting less than the full serving of fortified grain or complete feed than what is listed on his grain bag he may need one of the four formulas in SmartPak’s new and improved SmartVite line of vitamin/mineral supplements

by Sophie St.Clair As I examine the last year of competition with Sjapoo and contemplate the experience I have in front of me it occurs to me that I am not alone in that process. Over the last year my trainer David Sterckx has been prepping in his own way.

Overnight the moon rose and the temperature dropped hourly to almost freezing and then, as the waning moon set, pink light appeared at the margins of this morning. Spring has already officially begun over a week ago but it is still cold in the morning

Warrent♥n Horse Show – Friday Neighs, um, News
Saturday, September 01 2012
by Editor
Okay, we really do ♥ Warrenton Horse Show, and we have a fun post for you, albeit later than we wanted to deliver it – partly because of the Burghley Horse Trials in England where two American event riders, short-listed for Olympics, topped the standings after dressage by taking FIRST & SECOND!!!! We are absolutely thrilled for Sinead Halpin & Manoir de Carneville, the 2011 USEF National 4-Star Champions were left off the US Olympic team for London – FIRST AFTER DRESSAGE AND DOUBLE CLEAR ON THE XC to improve their hold on first with a score of 36.3, their personal best dressage score to date. Lots of information at Eventing Nation , and a great post by John of EN saying lovely things about Sinead and Allison. We ♥ Eventing Nation for running the live feed by Horse & Hound !!! Of course, following the XC action at Burghley meant huge delays to writing this post because we kept jumping to EN to read H&H’s live feed coverage, but now it’s a done deal.
