It has been an exciting time for the USC Aiken eventing team! This semester we officially became recognized by the university as a club sport! There are only five club sports on campus with equestrian sports making up three of them. Also, this year we have 15 official members and have been gaining in numbers weekly

Seppy’s Gets a Special Visit from her Friend

Karissa and Seppy! By Dani Moritz I got a Facebook message this morning from a woman I met briefly at Therapeutic Horsemanship in Wentzville, Missouri. Seppy had been there on and off over a two year period and was volunteering as a therapy horse while I spent a lot of time traveling and studying. All the kids loved her (probably because she really is the cutest thing in the world!), but one little girl took a special liking to her.

USA EQUESTRIAN TRUST AWARDS NEARLY $210,000 IN FIRST ROUND OF 2013 GRANTS

Deadline for Second Round is October 7 July 17, 2013 — Lexington, KY — USA Equestrian Trust has awarded nearly $210,000 in grants for 10 projects submitted by equine non-profits during the first of the foundation’s two 2013 application periods. The deadline for the Trust’s second grant application period is October 7. Equine non-profits interested in applying for a grant can do so by using the Trust’s online application form at www.trusthorses.org .

By Dani Moritz Things are finally looking up here in good ol’ Fulton, Missouri – so I just thought I’d post an update on all the great things happening. Here we go!! Puppy Love Sasha, “daddy,” and I! Last Sunday we adopted a dog from the local shelter and ran into a bit of an issue (see my previous post). We knew she came from an abusive environment and was going to take some time and patience, but we weren’t fully prepared for what we were getting ourselves into
