Ladies Night at the $50,000 Wellington Equestrian Realty Grand Prix CSI 2*on January 19 By Kim MacMillan, MacMillan Photography & Media Services When the last fence was jumped in the nine rider jump-off on Saturday night three young ladies topped the 56-entry field that included riders from 14 countries. The line-up included, among others, international stars such as Mario Deslauriers, Margie Engle, Kent Farrington, Laura Kraut, Ian Miller, Rodrigo Pessoa and McLain Ward. Reed Kessler, at 18 the youngest Olympian to date at last summer’s London Games, riding her 13-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding Ligist (Levantos II – Robin Z) made neat work of the jump off, blazing over the fences and tripping the finish timer in 37.81 to take top money. Less than a second behind her was Katie Dinan on Grant Road Partner’s 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding Nougat Du Vallet (by Scherif D’Elle out of Camme Du Vallet). The final pair in the jump-off Brianne Goutal and Remarkable Farm’s 11-year-old Selle Francais Nice de Prissey (by Rosire out of Trophee De Prissey) gave it their all, but they stopped the clock at 38.53 to capture third

Wellington, FL – January 18, 2013 - Today’s Gold Coast Opener Grand Prix CDI-W showcased horses and riders preparing for next weekend’s World Dressage Masters (WDM) CDI5* Palm Beach, and the WDM competitors certainly displayed their dominance. WDM entrants swept all six ribbons in the Grand Prix, with all but one riding the horses they will compete next weekend. And if the results from today are a predictor, it seems that Sweden will be a force to be reckoned with.

Bindle Stick – Available for Adoption!
Thursday, January 17 2013

Meet 7 year old, 16hh Thoroughbred gelding “Bindle Stick” now available for adoption from our Marysville, OH facility! Just one look at those big, bright eyes and dainty face and you can’t help but be drawn to him as he looks over his stall gate just waiting for anyone to come down the aisle and pay attention to him. He is so adorable that you just want to squeeze him! One look at his pedigree and it is no wonder that he is smart and athletic too. He has a finer build allowing him to be very athletic and light on his feet and he is also very intelligent proving that by the way he goes to work when asked to. Bindle has shown us that he is a very confident horse as well by just trotting over the little flower boxes as if they weren’t even there and then was very proud of himself, looking around the arena to make sure everyone was watching him. He is quite the show off in turn out as well, as he very cleverly took his pasture mates halter off and proceeded to trot around the pasture swinging it around for all to see what he had done! Bindle gets along well with his turn out buddies and is the class clown of the group. His donor retired him because he believed the horse would rather be someone’s pet than a race horse anymore and that seems to be very true! Bindle raced almost every month for 3 ½ years; he had his down time and is now ready for a new career.
