Dressage Riders are in top for at So8ths/Nikon Three-Day

Saturday, May 04 2013 by Editor
On Friday, May 3, competitors in three different divisions rode Dressage tests in the beautifully manicured Southern 8ths arena for the So8ths/Nikon Three-Day Event in the “Heart of the Carolinas.” The riders, who traveled from several different states, seemed thrilled with the first day of the Long Format Event.   In essence the best Dressage scores set the tone for the remainder of the competition

ROLEX – results recap – sort of…

Sunday, April 28 2013 by Editor
Okay, we have made it through an outstanding long weekend of Rolex Kentucky Three-day Event, presented Land Rover, and the equestrian triathlon did not disappoint. However, we’re in a bit of a tizz – first of all, Sidelines blogger and freelance photographer Beth Harpham is back in the hospital thanks – or no thanks – to that pesky pinched nerve in her back

Sunday, September 02 2012 by Editor
Professional dual sportswoman Liz Halliday returned to winning ways at Firle Place International Horse Trials last weekend thanks to a stellar performance from one of Chailey Stud’s most promising talents. Following a scintillating start to the season, which included qualifying for the British Novice Championships, Trevor (Endymion Entrechat) continued his eventing action in style by claiming victory in the Open Novice category.

More Cross Training: HP’s Gone Wild!

Thursday, May 31 2012 by Editor
Brace yourselves, Tucker fans. . .   Tucker and I are really taking this cross-training thing seriously.  First, a dressage clinic, and now, cross-country schooling with our friends Dom and CP : Tucker falls in love with yet another pony... Haha, okay, so I didn’t really go wild , but when I strapped on a safety vest and went marching into the water complex, my inner Hunter Princess just stood there with her mouth gaped open in shock.  But Tucker and I had huge smiles on our faces! See? Tucker LOVED the water and did lots and lots of splashing

Wherin It’s Learnt Once More; The Horse is a Humbling Creature.

Tuesday, July 26 2011 by Editor
I met Allison Springer over the winter, while she was spending a few weeks in Wellington to get some extra show jumping mileage with Arthur. Allison was down to earth, totally approachable, and serious about her horses and their programs. She’s worked hard to improve Arthur’s show jumping style, and held an impressive ten point lead going into Sunday’s show jumping phase for the CIC3* at Rebecca Farm

Cleanin’ Up Real Nice During the Dressage Phase at Rebecca Farm

Saturday, July 23 2011 by Editor
As I write this, the cross country is well underway at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana. Yesterday was a full day for competitors, volunteers and stewards, who kept five levels of 1* through 3* dressage running smoothly.
