By Jan Westmark-Allan A young fan collects autographs from his favorite riders at Del Mar, in California. All photos by Tish Quirk, unless noted Sidelines Magazine’s new mascot, Spirit, a Medicine Hat paint, is coming to live with me today! Known as the Perfect Paint, the shipping van that is bringing him from Boston to Asheville, North Carolina, got stuck in a LOT of holiday traffic so he is running late.

By Jan Westmark-Allan If you’ve been hanging out at the barn riding and cleaning stalls a lot lately, you may have missed out on the latest dance craze – the Horse Riding Dance.
