Wellington, FL – January 22, 2014 – The 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival (FTI WEF) began its third week of competition, sponsored by Fidelity Investments® , on Wednesday, January 22, with a win for Shane Sweetnam (IRL) and Spy Coast Farm LLC’s Cyklon 1083 in the $34,000 G&C Farm 1.45m FEI world ranking class. Week three continues through Sunday, January 26. The week will feature the $34,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round 3 on Thursday, the $34,000 Spy Coast Farm 1.45m on Friday, the highlight $125,000 Fidelity Investments® Grand Prix CSI 3* on Saturday night, and the $34,000 Suncast® 1.50m Championship Jumper Classic on Sunday.

Adrienne Sternlicht Awarded SSG Gloves Bonus

Wellington, Florida – Adrienne Sternlicht of Greenwich, Connecticut, was the latest winner in the SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” promotion following her victory in the $15,000 SJHOF High Amateur-Owner Classic held January 18 at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. SSG Gloves is offering a total of $60,000 in bonus money over the 12-week circuit to reward riders for their loyalty to the SSG Gloves brand. Held Saturday morning in the International Arena, the $15,000 SJHOF High Amateur-Owner Classic saw 33 entries attempt the first round track set by Belgian course designer Luc Musette. Four riders accomplished the feat, and all four were wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves to put themselves in contention for the $1,000 bonus. Adrienne Sternlicht, mounted on Oreade des Dames, is presented with a $1,000 bonus from SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” promotion manager Jennifer Ward for wearing SSG ‘Digitals’ on her way to victory in the $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic held January 18 at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

THE DRESSAGE FOUNDATION AWARDS $10,000 TO U.S. DRESSAGE INSTRUCTORS

January 2, 2014 – The Dressage Foundation has announced that a total of $10,000 has been awarded to U.S. dressage instructors through the Major Anders Lindgren Scholarship program, funded through The Dressage Foundation’s Carol Lavell Gifted Memorial Fund. The Lindgren Scholarships provide financial support that enables dressage instructors to train in a concentrated amount of time in order to improve teaching, riding, and training skills. This year, the Selection Committee chose the following recipients: Gina Duran Reese Koffler-Stanfield (Georgetown, KY) was awarded the $6,000 Lindgren Scholarship. Reese is a USDF Certified Instructor through 4 th Level and has earned her USDF Bronze, Silver, Gold and Gold Freestyle Bar medals. She plans to use the funds to train with Kathy Connelly. Gina Duran (Livermore, CA) is the recipient of a $2,000 Lindgren Scholarship. She has earned her USDF Gold Medal and is a USDF Certified Instructor through 2 nd Level. Gina will use the scholarship to train with Rachel Saavedra.
